Art Johnson, Emeritus Professor of History at SUNY Potsdam (1968-2012), served as guest lecturer aboard the vessels of the American Canadian Caribbean Line (now defunct), is founder of the Dinner Murder Company of Grasse River Players, is an ADK 46er, a member of Steamship Historical Society and of the Friends of the Potsdam Museum Board Member. His dissertation topic: Steam Navigation between Boston and the Maritimes, and is Anne Johnson's husband. (She insists upon this!) In fall 2013, Art received the Leon LeBeau SOARing Educator Award in recognition of the many outstanding courses he has taught for SOAR.
