Fran Van Horne is a retired nurse and nursing and health instructor who prefers reading biography to reading fiction. Besides her series on the First Ladies, she has given presentations on the British Royal Family (including Queen Victoria), and on the rich in the USA - the Vanderbilts. Fran has also done presentations on the American Quilt Project, Claxton-Hepburn Hospital, and the 1918 Flu Epidemic.
Fran and her husband, Otis, received the “Super SOARer Award” in 2009 in honor of their huge contribution to the growth of our knowledge and the growth of our organization.
