Cynthia Coleman was in chemistry at SUNY Potsdam. She and her husband Mark's travels off the beaten path began with ten weeks behind the Iron Curtain in 1970 and have continued to more recent trips:  Their SOAR presentations have taken us to "Bulgaria and Macedonia" (spring 2009), "The Silk Road (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan (spring 2010), "Ducal Courts of Northern Italy" (spring 2011), to "Trans-Caucsus: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia" (fall 2013), "Around the Baltic Sea" (sping 2015).
