Chanchal Singh is a retired professor of mathematics from SLU. Currently he is pursuing a number of hobbies: gardening, growing fruit trees, working with stained glass, doing some creative writing, and researching math topics for fun.
Chanchal's His life story is interesting. He grew up and went to school in India. After graduating high school, he decided to apply to an American University. To his astonishment, he was accepted into graduate school in Berkeley. A good fellowship later lured him to the University of Michigan (where he met his future wife); then a teaching position at SLU brought him to Canton, NY -- and he knew that this was the place he wanted to stay and the life he wanted to have for himself and for his family.
