Martha Maine retired from the Canton School District after 34 years experience of teaching physical education. She is a member of the "Daughters of Union Veterans Tent 71 of NYS. Martha is a Civil War re-enactor with who portrays a male soldier in both Union and Confederate Artillery and Infrantry Units. Martha has participated in many local living histories/re-enactments and several national events, including Gettysburg, Antietam, Cedar Creek, and the 150th anniversary of the Battle of First Bull Run.
