Carlene Doane began with GardenShare in October 2010. Through the years she oversaw programs such as the Local Food Guide; Bonus Bucks (a cost sharing program for income eligible households to access local food); liaisoned with farmers markets; SNAP/EBT processing at the farmers markets; fundraising activities, coordination of volunteers and interns; community outreach and education on food security resources. She is GardenShare's Executive Director. A long-time resident of St. Lawrence County, Carlene has family roots in the area. She
volunteers with the Canton Free Will Meal, Food Bank of Central NY, Church and Community Program, local parent groups via public schools, United Methodist Women, and others.
