Explore and understand the role GardenShare has in St. Lawrence County. Information about our local food system, fresh local food incentive programs, St. Lawrence County farmers markets will be shared. Nutritional security which includes access to healthy food is important to all residents. Come join the discussion around local food. 

Carlene Doane began with GardenShare in October 2010. Through the years, she oversees program such as the Local Food Guide; Bonus Bucks (a cost sharing program for income eligible households to access local food); liaison with farmers’ markets; SNAP/EBT processing at the farmers’ markets; fundraising activities, coordination of volunteers and interns; community outreach and education on food security resources. She is GardenShare's Executive Director.

A long-time resident of St. Lawrence County, Carlene has family roots in the area. She volunteers with the Canton Free Will Meal, Food Bank of Central NY, Church and Community Program, local parent groups via public schools, United Methodist Women, and others.
