Barb McBurnie is a SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol) volunteer in NYS. The SMP program is funded by the US Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Community Living. She is retired after twenty years with the county Office for the Aging.
Barb has enjoyed her travels and has shared her experiences with us in a prior SOAR class. On her trip to French Polynesia - Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora (the most beautiful island in the world?) The highlights of her trip included: swimming with sharks and manta rays; getting up close and personal with a dolphin; watching the sun set from the most beautiful beaches in the world; learning about Tahitian Black Perarls, exploring some of the history from Captain James Cook to the Americans during WWII.
