John Omohundro, an avid hiker, is the creator and coordinator of the Red Sandstone Trail. He helped to secure the trail during re-licensing negotiations in the ‘90s. John is a retired SUNY Potsdam professor; he taught in both the Environmental Studies and the Anthropology Departments.

NOTES: 1) Wear sturdy walking shoes, and raingear, if there is inclement weather; 2) Meet at the trailhead of Hannawa Falls (map and directions provided with registration confirmation – and also linked on the course web page).
