Radio was an invention whose beginning purpose was far different from what it is today. Public entertainment was never on the minds of radio’s founders. We will cover the contributions of men such as Hertz, Marconi, and DeForest, to mention a few. The presenter will show early radio equipment and demonstrate its use.

Neil Garner is a retired science and technology teacher. He is an avid collector of early radio equipment, among many other things.
