This course on Canada and the Canadian point of view will broadly concentrate on those issues of most interest to the course participants. Possible topics include: resources, trade, environmental issues, history, health care, the French presence, or any topic brought to the floor by a class member.
Bob Thacker is Dana Professor of Canadian Studies at SLU. He is a leading academic expert on Canadian writer Alice Munro (generally regarded as one of the world’s best fiction writers), comparisons of US and Canadian culture, and other topics relating to Canada.
