We hear about Fort Drum in the news; we drive by on our way south and again when we return home, but what do we really know about the place and the people in it? The Offi ce of Community Relations at Fort Drum is sending us a spokesperson to tell us more about our neighbor. In particular we will learn about the role of Fort Drum as an economic engine in the North Country.

Command Sergeant Major (CSM) John F. McNeirney enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 1986. He completed Military Police One Station Unit Training with Fort McClellan, AL.

At Fort Drum, NY, CSM McNeirney has served in a variety of positions including Military Police Driver and M60 Gunner, Team Leader, Protective Services Agent, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, Battalion and Brigade Operations Sergeant, Human Resources Command Enlisted Assignments Manager, HQDA Action Officer, Directorate of Emergency Services Sergeant Major, Installation Provost Sergeant Major, Task Force 91 MP Command Sergeant Major and most recently served as the Battalion Command Sergeant Major for the 91st Military Police Battalion.
