Kaori MacWilliams studied the Japanese tea ceremony for many years in Japan, since she was a teenager. She is a master of Omotesenke (one of the major branches of the Tea Ceremony in Japan). After moving to the United States, she has taught the tea ceremony several times to students at St. Lawrence University.
