Dr. Merrett is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Clarkson University. He joined the department in 2016 following five years as a professor at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He teaches aerospace structures, aircraft accidents, and introduction to aerospace engineering design. Dr. Merrett's research is about the use of composite materials and their application to advanced aircraft configurations, launch vehicles, and satellites.
