NOTE: The Clarkson Hall building is downtown (not up on the hill). It is on Main Street, just past the sandstone building "Old Main." Please refer to the Google map below for the exact location.

DESCRIPTION / DIRECTIONS: Clarkson Hall (newer red brick U-shaped building which sits well back off Main St.) is part of the downtown Clarkson University campus  The Therapy Department is located in Clarkson Hall on the second floor in the center section.  As you face the building from Main St. walk into the courtyard; the sign near the main center doors will tell you to veer left to go to "Clarkson University Graduate Studies PT." Enter the left breezeway doors. Turn right and walk a few steps to the elevator (on your left). Take the elevator to the second floor; when you get off the elevator, turn left and then right into the main large open work-out room; the adjoining center classroom is also utilized at times for lectures. (You can also enter the breezeway from the opposite side - qn easier entrance for someone with disabilities who is being dropped off.)

PARKING: You can park on either side of Main street. There is a small parking lot directly in front of the building, accessed from the driveway at the left of Clarkson Hall; it includes some handicapped spots. If you follow the driveway in further, to the back of Clarkson Hall, you can also turn right and parallel park in the driveway behind Clarkson Hall, or continue to drive to the large parking lot behind the buildings closer to town (this far lot is also easily accessible from Pierrepont Ave); if you park closer to town in this lot, walk back up to Clarkson Hall and enter at any entrance and head to the elevator at the far end of the building.)

ACCESSIBILITY: There are several handicapped parking places in the small lot in front of the building. If someone else is driving, continue driving straight between the buildings; instead of turning into the small parking lot in front, handicapped people can be dropped off at the breezeway doors on the left side of the building (Look for the "automatic door opener" to the breezeway; from beezeway, turn left to get to the nearby elevator..

TECH and OTHER EQUIPMENT: Equipped as a physical therapy place should be (work-out machines; therapy tables, etc.); there is one large classroom that is sometimes utilized for lecturing.

FURNISHINGS: chairs and all kinds of work-out equipment

ROOM CAPACITY: varies with the room being used; there's also a therapy room, a fitness equipment area, besides the lecture room and the large open room.
