The day begins in the morning with a return visit of Jim Peploski and his "Chemical Magic Show" followed by the SOAR 2011 Spring Luncheon held in Knowles Hall, a new campus dining location this year.

CHEMICAL MAGIC SHOW (free for SOAR members and guests)
TIME: 10:00-11:00am
PLACE: Stowell Hall, Room 211 on the SUNY Potsdam Campus
DESCRIPTION: Clarkson University Professor, Jim Peploski, will amaze, entertain and educate you with his renowned Chemical magic Show. Professor Peploski has performed his chemical feats throughtout the North Country and Beyond. His demonstrations will include color and smoke reactions, the explosiveness of hydrogen, the bizarre behavior of liquid nitrogen and the production of ice cream. (Walk-ins at the last minute are permitted if there are empty seats.)
SPRING 2011 SOAR LUNCHEON
TIME: 11:30am-2:30pm (serving lunch at 12:00 noon)
PLACE: Knowles Conference Center (Knolls Hall - second floor; enter the Barrington Drive side door marked: "Knowles Conference Center" or from the double doors of the inner courtyard)
DESCRIPTION: Welcoming music by New Horizons Band, displays, surprises; special luncheon (click on the "PRINT OUT the INFO..." link above to see the menu); members meeting (see the spring newsletter - pages 1, 3, 4 - for more information); recognitions (of places and people); SOAR awards; more fun and surprises.
