Mah Jongg, or the game of Sparrows, is an ancient Chinese game played with tiles and is similar to gin rummy. We will be teaching beginners how to play Mah Jongg by the National Mah Jongg League rules.
Kay Russell has been playing Mah Jongg since 1969 when she moved to the north country. She has been teaching for SOAR since 2003. Kay is a retired Department of Social Services supervisor. At the Spring 2017 luncheon Kay Russell received the semester's Super SOARer Award.
