The course will introduce the audience to recent advances in the development of sensing technologies for remote monitoring of health conditions. Fabrication and application of sensors that detect biomarkers such as glucose, lactate, glutamate, uric acid and cholestrol levels non-invasively will be discussed with example of applications. These sensors present exciting opportunities to measure physiologic parameters in a continuos, real-time and non intrusive manner. Successful development and implementation of these devices into the mainstream healthcare system will enable patients and physicians to efficiently monitor health conditions and tailor treatment plans to maximize efficacy, diagnose and monitor diseases.
