This course will overview the state-of-the-art in upper-extremity and lower-extremity prosthetic limb systems. Specific topics to be covered include the major design considerations in prosthetic limb development, the current advances in upper- and lower-extremity limb technology, and the technical challenges still to be solved in order to realize anthropomorphic prosthetic-limb function.
