A look into substance use disorder: history, causes, prevention, effects and treatment. We will discuss signs & symptoms, theories of cause and theories that affect treatment of the disease and those who suffer from it (politics, statistics, Narcan Training, harm reduction). Stigma, Why?
Dr. Norris background is in emergency medicine, surgery and most recently, addiction medicine. She is fascinated by people and never stopped asking, “Why?”
