The pollsters accurately predicted the outcome of the 2016 presidential election, but you would hardly know it, given the widespread criticism polling firms have received. This course provides the basic tools to understand and interpret public opinion polls.

Jack McGuire is an Associate Professor of Politics at SUNY Potsdam. He teaches courses in American political behavior (voting) and public opinion. He and his colleagues conduct public opinion polls in the North Country.
