Humans have been using songs for thousands of years to help express their many thoughts and feelings. This course will examine several types of folk songs and use many specific examples for us to learn, listen to, and sing.

John Ohst has taught at Onondaga Community College, SUNY-Oswego, and SUNY-Canton. His areas of concentration were in communication skills (writing, reading, speaking, and listening) as well as children’s literature and folklore.
