“Nano” is a four-letter word in the spotlight of technology advances, and the chemistry of such materials is key to their diversity and how they can be applied. Topics of this talk include infrared light, obscuration, nerve gas destruction in public spaces, and antidotes for overdosed chemicals, including opioids.

Dick Partch has successfully mentored classroom and research lab activities for 51 years, and he has an international reputation for creating colloidal powder particles and modifying their surfaces for optimum performance.
