This course is an introduction to basic contract bridge. Participants will be comfortable playing bridge with friends after completion of the course. No prior card playing experience is required.
Peter learned bridge at Cornell in the early 70’s and has been playing semi-regularly over the past 30 years. Although Peter and Christine Schrauth attend a weekly local duplicate bridge club, the general playing approach there is for enjoyment, not competition.
NOTE: “Elementary Bridge Five Card Major Student Text,” a pamphlet by Shirley Silverman, is a required $5 purchase from presenter at first class. This purchase includes a complimentary deck of bridge playing cards.
