This course covers the period from the arrival of Christian missionaries in China in the 1500s to the present day. Emphasis is given to events leading to China’s revolution, to the founding and ultimate victory of the Communist Party, and to China’s present global relationships, especially with the USA.
Ina Brockriede is a retired teacher who has had China as her main interest in the decades since her retirement.
