This course covers the period from the arrival of Christian missionaries in the 1500s to the present day. Emphasis is given to World War I and World War II, the founding of the Communist Party, and China’s complicated relations with Tibet.
Ina Brockriede is a retired teacher. China is Ina’s current main interest. She enjoys sharing what she has learned over years spent studying China.
