The life and times of Silas Wright from Canton will be discussed. This includes his time as a United States Senator representing New York from 1833-44; his role as Governor of New York State from 1844-46; and the impact his death in 1847 had on the Democratic Party and the nation.

Trent Trulock has been the St. Lawrence County Historian and Executive Director of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association since 1997. He has a MA in Anthropology from the University of Colorado, with an emphasis on museums and education, and a BA in Anthropology from Indiana University.
