Print Info
Have some fun with stamping and learn how to make greeting cards. Go a step past making a simple card (2 cards/envelopes provided). Try embossing – after you use a stamp on paper and while the ink is still wet, dust it with embossing powder; use a heat gun (similar to a hair dryer) to create a 3-D effect; and for fun, add other things to the card.
Anita Stoffel makes and sells cards and has been doing so for 15 years. She has introduced grade school kids to the craft of stamping. At her home store, she sells handweaving items as well as stamps, ink pads, card stock paper, etc.)
NOTES: Bring: scissors; colored pencils, markers or crayons; and extra card stock paper - available from presenter, or at WalMart, Kinney Drugs, and craft stores (Michael’s in Watertown, or Jo-Ann’s Fabrics and Crafts in Ogdensburg).
