The blowout and subsequent flow of oil from the Deep Horizon well this past summer was described as the biggest ecological disaster our nation has faced. SUNY Potsdam faculty and students were sampling in the Gulf of Mexico this summer during this disaster. In this seminar they will share their experience as part of the Summer Field Program at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory.

Walter Conley has a Ph.D. in Marine Science from the University of South Florida and has been teaching Marine Biology at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory of the University of Southern Mississippi.
