In this seminar we examine topics such as cloning, transplants, assisted suicide, genetic engineering, informed consent, elective surgery, reproductive ethics, and the physician/patient relationship. We also consider alternative approaches to healing, approaches that for many people in the world are traditional. The goal is for participants to examine th eprinciples that guide individuals as they struggle with these increasingly complex issues.
David Hornung is the Dana Professor Biology at SLU and Professor at the College of Medicine, SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
