This course provides a brief biography of Helen Hosmer, stressing her achievements, but also her distinctive personality and the immense influence she exerted on so many people.

Nelly Case has earned degrees in piano as well as in musicology. She is currently a professor of musicology at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam where she teaches courses on music theory, history, and literature, and also on women in music. She is also the organist and handbell choir director at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Canton.
