The aerodynamic desgin of a wind turbine is a complex process. Learn about: 1) fundamentals of wind energy, including power and energy in the wind, factors affecting trubine perfomance and behavior, and various turbine concepts, 2) current tehnologies for the consumer, such as what is available and what to look out for and be aware of, costs, and expectations, and 3) ongoing wind research at Clarkson.

Ken Visser is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Clarkson University, teaching senior aircraft design and performance courses. He has done post=doctoral work at the NASA Langley Basic Aerodynamic Research Tunnel (BART), and has worked at the Boeing Company.
