Dung Duk Kung! The unique sounds of thunderous Korean drum beats! You will be introduced to Korean culture through playing traditional Korean folk music on Korean percussion instruments. You will also learn Korean traditional rhythmic patterns (Jangdan), & basic techniques to play different percussion types. Let's play Dung Duk Kung!
In-Sil Yoo is a native of Seoul, South Korea. She was formerly an organist and a member of a Korean drumming group until she moved to the US in 1995. She has been teaching at St. Lawrence University since 2003 and her research involves working with artists and dancers.
