On August 4, 1892, Lizzie Borden “…took an axe and gave her mother 40 whacks. When she saw what she had done, she gave her father 41!” The Borden murders became famous since Victorian era women were not considered predisposed to commit murder. Following her trial, Lizzie was acquitted by an all-male jury. She remained in Fall River, MA for the remainder of her life. Was she guilty? An examination of the Borden house, evidence, and related documents suggest otherwise. Be on the jury and settle this once and for all!
