The presenter will give background information on familiar tunes that depict unusual events and people from the War of 1812 era. The lyrics for this presentation were inspired by the research the presenter did for her novel Taking Hart (written under pen name M. A. Noble).
Maggie Hockett is a musician who performs with several area groups. She is a former elementary school teacher, an instructional designer, and an editor and writer for educational publishers. Currently she is working on a sequel to her novel Taking Hart.
