The Northern New York Library Network provides free access to more than 180 historic newspapers from all over New York State, totaling more than 3 million pages. Searching for that genealogical or historical gem in such a mountain of information can be daunting! This course will provide some tips and tricks to help you find what you are looking for.
Chuck Henry is the Integrated Technologies Coordinator for the Northern New York Library Network, and the project lead for the New York State Historical Newspapers website. Chuck is a 15-year veteran of the IT field, and a former NYS certified elementary teacher.
Eric Alan is the Regional Services Librarian for the Northern New York Library Network. He will be assisting Chuck Henry in this hands-on "Searching NY State Historical Newspapers" course.
