Galaxies and clusters of galaxies are the largest objects in the universe and visible at vast distances. In this course we’ll explore the universe of galaxies, how we observe them and what they teach us about themselves and the nature and history of the universe.
Aileen O’Donoghue is a frequent SOAR presenter and an active astronomical researcher who LOVES watching the sky. She holds physics degrees from New Mexico Tech, where she studied both astronomy and atmospheric physics. Aileen has taught astronomy at SLU for over 25 years. She thoroughly enjoys doing research on the universe of galaxies.
