This presentation covers the CSI-effect and compares fictional forensic science to real life forensics. Topics will also include divisions within the forensic science laboratory.
Elizabeth Erikson is an Associate Professor in the Criminal Justice Department at SUNY Canton. Liz was formerly a latent print examiner with the Onondaga Center for Forensic Sciences. Liz also worked as a forensic scientist for the Indiana State Police Forensic Laboratory. She is the author of the book: Criminalistics Laboratory Manual: The Basics of Forensic Investigation.
