Wishbones and Pumpkin Pie: American Thanksgiving [F-12-58]
|Classes:||1 Session 1.5 hours|
|Dates:||Thu 10:00 AM 11/15|
Thanksgiving has become a truly All-American holiday, with all the trimmings. This session will begin with a brief history of harvest festivals and American Thanksgiving in particular, and a discussion of common and not-so-well-known customs observed around the nation. It will conclude with participants deconstructing their own celebrations – from guest lists, menus, and seating arrangements to volunteering at public dinners and Black Friday shopping sprees.
