Einstein’s Theory of Special Relativity has shaken our perception of space and time. The theory has many tangible, practical applications to everyday life. Few, however, bother to look into it, due to the mistaken, widespread notion that one needs to be a mathematical genius in order to understand it. Using only simple and intuitive arguments, and without any use of math, the presenter will explain the theory and the enormous shift it brought into modern science.

Daniel ben-Avraham has been conducting research and teaching physics at Clarkson University since 1987.

NOTE: Bring an open, curious mind to class.
