Combining a structured approach with independent interaction, this course is designed for beginning fiction writers. Each session includes rationale, models and prompts, writing, and feedback. Topics include the following: Finding a Story, Opening Lines, Characters, Dialogue, Perspective, Plot, Resolution, and Meaning.
Sue Hayden taught high school English (including creative writing) for 36 years, retiring in June 2010. She is currently an adjunct English professor at SUNY Canton. She has always enjoyed teaching, learning, and writing with her students.
NOTE: Bring pen and notebook or journal for in- and out-of-class writing.
