NOTE: SLU classrooms are used only when there are SLU students or current SLU faculty involved in teaching a SOAR course.

DESCRIPTION / DIRECTIONS: Johnson Science Hall of Science, is the newest science building on campus. It is a two-story modern-looking building that sits at an angle to Park St. and the other buildings around it. Once parked in lot "J", walk up the hill on the path closest to Park St. Walk past Bewkes Hall and down into the circular drive that comes next. Johnson Hall is then ahead on the left. Enter at the far door (there's a covered open breezeway there that connects Johnson to Bewkes). Once in the building turn right to enter the east wing.  Take the elevator to the third floor.  Room 309 is the very last room on the left.

PARKING:
NOTE:
To avoid a $50 parking ticket, hang your SUNY Potsdam Parking pass on your rearview mirror each time you attend a SOAR class at SLU.  Park in the D lot or J lot. From downtown Canton: turn onto Park Street at the light (between the between the post office and the park) and drive past the SLU campus to the far side of the campus buildings.
To "D" lot. Turn right (along the back side of the sports complex) into parking lot D (NOTE 1: the small lot facing Park St. is not part of Lot D; do not park there!) NOTE 2: you can park anywhere in lot D without a permit. You then will need to walk across Park St. NOTE 3: only use the crosswalks to get across Park St. to your SOAR classes.
    To "J" lot
. Turn left into the large parking lot just beyond the the science buildings on the left (and the sports complex on the right). Do NOT park in "FACULTY" or "GUEST" parking spots - these are ONLY for SLU issued parking passes...park in one of the open spots farther from the science building. (Hang you SUNY Potsdam parking pass!) From J Lot, walk up the sidewalk to Park Street.

ACCESSIBILITY: The classrooms building is handicap accessible. However, parking is fairly far from the building, and the walk to get there is uphill. It's best that handicap people be dropped off in the circular service drive (entrance from Park St.) near the building

RESTROOMS: Men's and women's restrooms are on each floor of the east wing and are located near the NE corner (by the drinking fountains).

TECH and OTHER EQUIPMENT: podium with comptuer (and lab equipment).

FURNISHINGS: chairs /lab tables

ROOM CAPACITY: 20

(Increase the size of the google map below to see the shapes and names of the SLU buildings.)
