DESCRIPTION / DIRECTIONS: Hepburn 113 is in one of the older white stone buildings on campus. It sits midway up the "hill" with Sykes dorm on one side and remodeled Carnegie Hall (farther up the hill) on the other side. On foot, you can approach it from several directions.  Enter from the door which faces the inner (closed to traffic) roadway where there is a round sculpture inside a very small courtyard. Hepburn sits back from the roadway and; Sykes residence and Carnegie Hall sit on two of the other sides of the courtyard. There are three floors - a ground/basement floor, first floor and second floor. Once inside Hepburn, ascend to the first floor (via a half-flight of 12 stairs). Enter the corridor on the first floor and turn left, walk straight to classroom 113 - the large corner room, passing a single much smaller classroom on your left.

PARKING: Park in the "J" lot or "H" lot.

To "J" lot. From downtown Canton: turn onto Park Street at the light between the between the post office and the park; drive past the SLU campus and turn left into the large parking lot just beyond the the science buildings on the left (and the sports complext on the right). DO NOT PARK IN FACULTY PARKING SPOTS...but in the open spots father from the science building.
From J Lot to classroom, walk up the sidewalk to Park Stree and follow the sidewalk (past the science buildings and several smaller buildings, and finally past a large white stone building (Sykes residence hall); one past Sykes, turn right, and walk up the sidewalk running alongside another side of Sykes. Continue walking between Hepburn (on the left) and Sykes (on the right) until you reach a small courtyard - enter Hepburn from the courtyard side and follow the directions above to the room.
An alternative route from J lot to classroom:
once past Bewkes and the round drop off parking area by Johnson Hall, follow the angled walkway that leads to the center of campus, passing first between the new (white) Johnson Hall on the right and (red brick boxy) Piskor Hall on the left. Keep walking - you'll soon pass the huge new student union on the right and then Syeks on your left. Once past Sykes turn into the small courtyard (with its round stone art feature in the middle) to enter Hepburn Hall (and follow directions to room given above).

To "H" lot. Enter the campus via the formal entrance from Main St. H lot is the first lot you come to on the right. (It faces Gulick Theater across the street and is next to Vilas Hall, the administration building.) Open parking is in the last rows.
From H lot to the classroom: walk up the hilll past Vilas Hall; turn left and walk by Richardson Hall, the chapel, and Carnegie Hall.  (or cross the open quad diagonally to save a few steps). Hepburn is the next building from Carnegie - it sits back from the road way in a small courtyard. Enter from the couryard door. Once insdie the building follow the directions above.

ACCESSIBILITY: No matter which way you choose to come, it is a long somewhat uphill walk to Helpburn; and there will be at least 12 steps to climb once inside.
