DESCRIPTION / DIRECTIONS:

From downtown Potsdam: Take Pierrepont Avenue (Rt.56) south, passing through Hanawa Falls. About 2 miles from the little gas/grocery store, turn right onto the Russell Turnpike Road (Rt.24). Keep going straight through Pierrepont, crossing over Rt.68, then crossing over Rt.24 (Pierrepont town barn is on your right). Glenmeal State Forest is just south of the Pierrepont town barn (on Rt. 24), about 0.6 miles from the intersection of Rt. 24 and Rt.29 - on the left side of the road there is a dirt road running up a hill. You've arrived. (see parking)

From downtown Canton: Take Park Street east, passing St. Lawrence University, continuing straight (on Rt.27) at the blinking red light. Veer left (leaving Rt.27) and drive up Waterman Hill on Rt. 29. At the Pierrepont town barn (at the big orange snow plow) turn right onto Rt.24.
