From logging days to hydroelectric development, the Racquette River between South Colton and Colton has seen huge changes. The course highlights some of those changes.

Mary Jane Watson is a member of the Colton Historical Society and the St. Lawrence County Center for History and Culture (SLCCHC). She has done previous presentations for SOAR on the history of the Racquette River and has also written for SLCCHC’s magazine The Quarterly.
