This is the 3rd and final semester of a three-semester course focusing on the Battle of Gettysburg. By November 1863 the battle of Gettysburg had been over for four months. Yet the death and destruction it caused was far from being forgotten. This class will focus on the extensive work done to restore the town and establish a national cemetery to memorialize the tremendous sacrifice resulting from the battle.
