This course will explore how graphic novels, much like comics, have been stigmatized as "not real literature" for years. However, we will look at the incredibly complex storytelling and visual artistry graphic novels have to offer readers of all ages.
Dr. Laura Brown is Chair of the Teacher Education Department and teaches undergraduate and graduate methods courses on the teaching of English.
