This course covers the Crane School of Music's role in the 1980 Winter Olympics. Using materials and photos from the SUNY Potsdam Archive, it descibes how Crane became the Olympic's official music provider, the hurdles faced during the organizing efforts, and the performances by the Crane ensembles during the Lake Placid games.

Dr. Bryan Kvet is the Information Literacy and Archives Librarian at SUNY Potsdam, where he has worked since 2022. He is a native of Northeast Ohio and earned his Ph.D. in History and Masters of Library and Information Science at Kent State University.
