This course is designed for people who have never played Mah Jongg before. Focus will be on learning the fundamentals of the game: identifying the tiles, reading the 2026 Mah Jongg card, and using basic strategies to build winning hands. The ultimate goal is to have fun and meet people who form groups to play Mah Jongg together. Carol Rossi-Fries was an educator at Potsdam Central School and SUNY Potsdam for 37 years. She enjoys playing and teaching Mah Jongg for fun, socialization, keeping her mind active and passing on her love of the game.
Pam Dumas was a high school teacher at Potsdam Central School for 30 years. She enjoys playing and teaching Mah Jongg because it's fun, challenging and a great way to meet new people.
