Michael Walter was a teacher of earth sciences and geology for 22 years at Parishville-Hopkinton Central School, now retired. He is the author of over 40 lay and professional articles and four books on specimen mineralogy. He has owned the mineral specimen business, Geological Desires, for over 30 years.
